Mehbooba Mufti’s detention extended by three months….

The State Administration of J&K (Union Territory of Kashmir) has extended the detention of PDP leader and former Chief Minister of the PDP+BJP Combine by three months.

Coming close to the anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and the decision to convert the state into a UT, this move has been done under the PSA Law. Public Safety Act thus classifies once CM Mehbooba Mufti as a threat to the peace and tranquility of Kashmir.

It seems that BJP does not trust anyone, even its own former colleague with whom they shared power while plotting the abrogation of Article 370 and suspension of the elected assembly of J&K.

Meanwhile a Kashmiri Pandit Association has started to demand the re-imposition of Article 370 and restoration of Status Quo Ante of J&K as a state. They have issued a statement that we can’t be at war with our family.

The legality of removal of 370 remains in question as the SC has not been able to find time to address this issue while it has found urgency in giving protection of journalists like Arnab Goswami by listing and passing orders the next day on his petition.
